Wake Forest
Wake Forest will return a ton of production from their 18-win season last year. The superstar quartet of AJ Smalls, Dashaun Grant, Nigel Lucas, and Jaevian Alston will be a nightmare matchup for almost everyone in the state. This team had a great season last year and got better so 20+ wins should be the bare minimum to expect.
Rolesville
Rolesville is one of our personal favorite teams because of how young they are. We are expecting them to easily make the playoffs and they only have one senior. The backcourt of Michael Downing and Isaac Tatum can’t be described as anything other than exciting. Their senior, Jordan Saddler, will be a versatile forward piece that should be more athletic than most of his matchups.
Wakefield
Jalen Yancey and Khi Benjamin are the duo that will try and build off of Wakefield’s 19-win campaign from last year. This roster is athletic and experienced, filled with Juniors and Seniors. They could range anywhere from 3rd to 6th in the conference and that will largely depend on the emergence of their new varsity guys. Look for Kaden Tezyk and Caleb Hardy to be prime candidates for that.
Heritage
Heritage finished with 7 wins last season and then lost both of their division 1 prospects, Justin Monden and Evan Ashe. The Huskies will be young and inexperienced but Coach Brill has never been one to count out. Jared Bush, KJ Cox, Cam Jones, and Levi Beckwith headline an exciting young core. This team will be sneaky this year and they’ll be dangerous for the next few.
Knightdale
Knightdale finished last a season ago and will look to Jason Dickerson and Christian Sutton to pull them back towards the top of the conference. Losing Micah Sumpter will hurt a lot as the big man averaged 12 points and 6 rebounds per game last year.
