Wake Hoops Expansion

We at Wake Hoops will be expanding our reach to include every public and private school in the triangle. The total number of schools will grow from 26 to 58 with a complete list provided at the end of this article.

From now on, these schools and players will be included in articles, tweets, and rankings. Players from all 58 schools will be eligible for our class rankings, starting with our next update in August. During the season, there will be a weekly ranking for both public and private schools.

The reason for this move lies in the sheer amount of talent in the Triangle area. While growing Wake Hoops over the past 10 months to highlight the public school kids in Wake County, we’ve realized that there are so many talented kids who aren’t able to benefit from our platform simply due to geographical lines or being at a private school. With that being said we also wanted to keep the focus on the Triangle area, so this move made the most sense to us. The decision to expand was made by communicating with various coaches and scouts around the area and the Phenom Hoops staff.

With the expanded coverage, our goal remains the same: to aid in the recruitment, exposure, and development of the kids we cover.
